Minett is a modern, dynamic and forward thinking company with two areas of specialisation - construction and training.

Construction

The construction arm was established in 1997 by Simon Minett principally to provide a brickwork contracting service to East Midlands customers and after rapid expansion is now a leading specialist on thin joint technology. Minett has also developed a "Shell Build" process that qualifies as a modern method of construction (MMC) and uses H+H Celcon's aircrete blocks and flooring system.

Training

Due to the company's success Simon found that his need for bricklayers outstripped supply, so he developed a training division. This quickly became a major part of the company and its ethos and has helped to establish the company's reputation for quality construction. Minett now has its own training centre in Northamptonshire with a workshop area of over 7500 sq.ft. which is used primarily for the training of 14-16 years olds and has established the company as a leading provider of training in construction trades for local schools. The company also provides training on thin joint techniques to local tradesmen who want to learn the skills in what is fast becoming the future for construction methods in this country.
